Do not send Danish Exchange Students to Wisconsin
I just got the shocking news that a young Danish woman had her stay in Wisconsin terminated because she had sex with a boy of her age. She was 17 at the time.
The agencies who had arranged her stay there should not have allowed people with an age below the legal age where sex is allowed to travel there because it is an integrated part of our culture to socialize close once they are about 17 years...

South African rehab - torture?
I didn’t believe what I read when I followed a link in a mail from a friend. It is about a rehab facility in South Africa where the clients are chained by the neck so they don’t run.
I simply could’t read what I saw.

I have been reading about Earl Sweatshirt and his story about a year in a wilderness program (You know those over in the States where teenagers are killed almost every year) and at a boot camp in Samoa. It is also a terrible place no teenagers should be forced to stay at.

I saw this story about a 17 year old girl who had to endure to live at a foster family which here in Denmark too often is equal to being beaten up or being forced to have sex with other foster siblings.

It is joke ? →
The politicians and the media are wondering why there is a lack of specialized foster families. They fail to realize that they can only hire the same people they have gotten fired from various group homes when they pulled the children home and closed many group homes only for the children on end up living on the streets in dysfuctional families.

A worker protested monitoring of people who have been fined for speeding. As result of his public appearance he was fired from the firm he had been working for in decades.

Just the latest case of abuse
A staff member at the former residential treatment center known as Gøge-reden (Cuckoo’s Nest) forced a 15 year old girl to engage in some kind of sexual act.
For this crime he received 60 days in prison! 60 days.
Of course he also can no longer work as caretaker for minors and he got a fine of 15,000 DKK which is some thousand US dollars.
This is how little value the so-called troubled...

The foster system in Denmark is broken
Greedy foster parents want to fight cuts in their salery. The rest of us citizens in Denmark are suffering due to the status of the econmy. It has not been that bad for decades.
I only hope that the authorities manage to cut the saleries. It is obvious that it was not about the children but only about the money.

I was somewhat surprised that Dr. Phil didn’t put Jessica from the “Mommy Confession” show in inpatient treatment at once.
I have watched some of his shows. Teenagers have ended up in wilderness therapy and we know that kids die out there in numbers where you might be guessing that addiction might be less dangerous.

Politics is a 3 minutes message
I am somewhat tired of politicians.
It is impossible to speak of heavy issues like health, justice, security, education unless they are able to go on Television and state something as they were advertising a product.
Where are the meetings between ordinary citizens and the politicians? Where are the real issues discussed and not sold?
